On October 8, the Vietnam Road Administration issued an urgent dispatch to Investors/Enterprises of BOT projects ( needing/needing); Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC); VETC Automatic Toll Collection Company Limited; Vietnam Digital Traffic Joint Stock Company (VDTC); Road Management Areas: I, II, III, IV.
The document stated: In recent days, storms No. 10 and No. 11 (storm Bualoi and Matmo) have caused great devastation and damage to people and property, seriously affecting all aspects of life and socio-economic development in the northern mountainous provinces, the North Central and the Central regions of our country.
Implement the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 176/CD-TTg dated September 29, 2025 on urgently overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods; promote the spirit of solidarity, "mutual love and support", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves"; to support the transportation of relief goods to affected areas, help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods, stabilize their lives and restore production; the Vietnam Road Administration requests units:
The investor/operator shall consider and direct the toll stations to collect road use service fees for vehicles transporting relief goods when passing through the toll station until a new guidance document is issued; coordinate with the Regional Road Management Area and relevant local agencies to organize lane division, traffic flow, and traffic guidance for the above vehicles to travel through the toll station as quickly as possible.
All temporary suspension of toll collection and exemption for the above vehicles must be recorded and have records and data on toll collection fully archived in accordance with regulations.
