Dak Lak requires the ban on all people in areas affected by the storm until the storm passes, except for functional forces on duty.

On November 6, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent dispatch on the implementation of storm prevention work No. 13 (Kalmaegi), requiring forces and localities to focus highly on ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed that from 4:30 p.m. on November 6, 2025, all people in areas affected by the storm will be prohibited from going out until the storm passes, except for functional forces on duty.

At the same time, road vehicles are prohibited from circulating on the route from Hoa Xuan commune to Xuan Loc commune (Dak Lak province). The Provincial Police are assigned to organize, control and strictly guide the implementation of this regulation.

The police and military forces coordinated to deploy measures to ensure security, order and safety for people during the storm.

Localities, especially the northeastern area of the province (belonging to the old Song Cau town) - which is forecast to be in the eye of the storm - must urgently evacuate all people from vulnerable areas at risk of landslides, deep flooding or high tides.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize a 24/24 duty, seriously implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the telegram of the province.

Departments, branches, sectors, unions and people in the whole province must urgently and seriously implement response plans to minimize damage caused by the storm.

According to the Dak Lak Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. on November 6, the center of storm Kalmaegi was at about 13.5 degrees North latitude, 110.0 degrees East longitude, about 90km East Southeast of Quy Nhon (Gia Lai). The strongest wind is level 14 (150-166km/h), gusting to level 17.

In the next 3 hours, the storm will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 30km/h, with an intensity of level 12-13.

Currently, there is moderate to heavy rain in the province, especially in the eastern area, the rainfall is 30-60mm, the western region is lower (10-20mm). Winds at some points are recorded: Cau River 10.5m/s (level 5), gusting to 20m/s (level 8); Son Hoi 7m/s (level 4), gusting to 17m/s (level 7); Hinh River 5m/s (level 3), gusting to 12m/s (level 6); Tuy Hoa 6m/s (level 4), gusting to 18m/s (level 8); Son Hoa 7m/s (level 4), gusting to 12m/s (level 6.

It is forecasted that in the coming hours, coastal areas of Tuy Hoa, Dong Hoa, Son Hoa, Song Hinh, Song Cau, Tuy An, Dong Xuan localities may experience strong winds of level 8-10, gusting to level 10-13; deep inland from M'Drak to Ea Sup, winds will reach level 5-6, gusting to level 7-8.
