Dak Lak - The Provincial Police have mobilized over 4,700 officers, soldiers and more than 8,000 vehicles to support people in preventing and fighting storms.

On November 6, Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that they had established a front line team to respond to storm No. 13 in Binh Kien ward.

Mobile equipment used in natural disasters includes 796 military vehicles (rescue vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, etc.); 5,690 watercraft (cars of all kinds, canoes of all kinds, round buoys, etc.), 1,955 technical equipment (electric generators, flashlights, tarpaulins, etc.).

Thereby, ensuring security and order, supporting people to evacuate, relocate, respond to storms, floods, landslides, flash floods, rescue and relief.

Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan requested localities to absolutely not be subjective or negligent, continue to review and synchronously deploy disaster prevention plans according to the "four on-site" motto. In particular, ensuring the safety of people's lives is the top goal.

Units must be ready to respond to all situations, minimizing damage caused by the storm.

It is forecasted that from the afternoon of November 6 to noon, the whole province will have heavy to very heavy rain. The Eastern and Northern regions will have common rainfall of 200-300mm, some places over 400mm/ period.

The western region will have 80-150mm of rain, some places will have more than 200mm. Warning of heavy rain over 100mm/3 hours, which could cause widespread flooding. In particular, the downstream of Ba River, Ky Lo River and Ban Thach River are likely to exceed alert level 3; Serepok River is above alert level 2.

The risk of landslides in mountainous areas, damage to houses, power outages and traffic disruption is assessed at a high level.
