There are still many difficulties
According to statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance, since the beginning of the year, after merging with Phu Yen, Dak Lak province has had an estimated economic growth rate of 7.14% (of which the old Dak Lak reached 7.09% and Phu Yen reached 7.23%). Most sectors and fields have achieved a fairly good growth rate compared to the same period.
However, to ensure the growth target set by the 17th National Congress Resolution and complete the target set by the 17th National Congress, from now until the end of the year, the province's growth rate must reach 8.64% or more. This is one of the tasks with high pressure.
Mr. Dang Tho Dan - Head of the Traffic Project Management Department (Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board) - commented: "The slow disbursement of public investment capital for transport projects is one of the reasons why the locality has not had a breakthrough in economic growth.
Since the beginning of the year, the Dong Buon Ma Thuot bypass and Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway projects have not been disbursed on schedule, and the construction plan has not met requirements. From now until the end of the year, we will request contractors to speed up the construction progress of key projects".
The activities of commune and ward authorities still face many difficulties: Lack of information technology staff, weak network infrastructure, some places have not yet arranged leaders, and even lack of key positions such as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Chief of Office or Head, Deputy Head of the Professional Department.
Increase revenue from auctions and land use
Determining the economic growth scenario for the final months of 2025, the leader of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance confirmed that the department will review and evaluate the implementation of the growth scenario set by the Eastern and Western regions of the province, and develop a new growth scenario every quarter.
From now until the end of 2025, one of the most important tasks the province has identified is to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, speed up the progress of key projects, strive to achieve 100% of the plan.
The province will soon allocate all remaining capital, especially capital for national target programs, while removing obstacles for non-budgetary projects, especially key projects, creating growth momentum.
One of the province's major budget revenue sources in 2025 is from land use revenue and land auctions. From now until the end of 2025, the authorities will auction 933 plots of land in 59 projects with a total starting price of more than VND 2,300 billion. Of which, the authorities have a plan to successfully auction 714 plots of land, expected to collect about 2,000 billion VND from the State budget.
However, in the long-term vision, to have an economic breakthrough in the period from 2025 to 2030, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee determined that the locality will focus on developing high-quality, modern agricultural, forestry and fishery products. At the same time, develop ecological and sustainable agriculture associated with new rural construction, towards potential export markets.
"We will flexibly expand budget revenue by focusing on investing in tourism development to become a spearhead economic sector, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure and tourism service system," Mr. Tuan added.
In the period of 2026 - 2030, the province will implement key tasks to achieve an average growth of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of 11.5%/year or more. GRDP (at current prices) per capita by 2030 will reach 160 million VND/person/year or more.
