Investment and upgrading of facilities
In recent years, Dak Mil District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has made strong improvements in facilities and teaching activities.
Thanks to that, the unit has gradually improved the quality of vocational training for rural workers, helping them gradually escape poverty sustainably.
Dak Lak Mil District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has a total area of 1.9 hectares. The center is fully equipped with functional areas to ensure learning and practice conditions for students.
The invested and built works in the unit include: a two-story administrative building, a two-story classroom area, a practice workshop, a practical mushroom growing area... In addition, there are other essential auxiliary areas to serve vocational students.
In particular, the center also owns 5 hectares of practice garden, serving well for students learning agricultural development.
Ms. H'Uyen, residing in Dak Mil district, shared: "After researching, I decided to register for a free sewing class organized by the district's Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center. I chose sewing to improve my professional skills, so that I can open a tailor shop at home in the future, improving my family's income."
According to Ms. H'Uyen, what impressed her most was the vocational training facilities that the center fully equipped, students were taught more by hand and practice than theory.
"I believe that with proper vocational training, I will have the knowledge to increase my income, improve my family life and gradually build a more stable future," Ms. H'Uyen is optimistic.
Improve training quality
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuyen - Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Dak Mil district said that, in addition to training at the headquarters, the unit also organizes mobile vocational training classes in communes and towns.
This activity aims to create the best conditions to help students reduce travel and accommodation costs... Through evaluation, this activity has brought practical results, helping many students who want to learn a trade but have difficult economic conditions and do not have time or money to travel.
In addition to the guaranteed facilities, the staff and teachers at the center are also systematically strengthened, including 20 people. Of these, 12 teachers basically meet the requirements for teaching and training students.
During its operation, the center is currently divided into three professional groups including the Continuing Education Group, the Vocational Training Group and the Administration - General Group. This helps to ensure that management and teaching activities are carried out systematically and effectively.
"Most of the students who received vocational training later found jobs or created stable jobs for themselves. From the vocational knowledge they learned, the students have contributed greatly to improving their family's economy," Mr. Tuyen said excitedly.
In the first 9 months of 2024 alone, the Dak Mil District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center organized 12 vocational training classes for rural workers with 420 participants.
Of which, there are 7 agricultural vocational training classes with 245 students, 5 non-agricultural classes with 175 students. Along with that, the unit also regularly organizes vocational training consultation, propagates vocational training policies for rural workers.
