Joy in poverty reduction
Dak Nong province has been focusing on implementing national target programs, aiming at poverty reduction and economic development in ethnic minority areas, with a total investment of about VND 2,800 billion for the period 2021-2025.
These programs have actively contributed to the implementation of socio-economic development goals for the period 2021-2025 and the fight against hunger and poverty reduction in localities.
In poor districts such as Tuy Duc, Dak Glong... thanks to the synchronous implementation of many policies and solutions, annual poverty reduction work has achieved and exceeded the set targets.
For example, in the process of implementing the national target program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 20212030, Dak Glong district has achieved many positive initial results.

Mr. Tran Nam Thuan - Chairman of Dak Glong District People's Committee - commented: "In recent years, the entire local political system has mobilized maximum resources to promote the completion of socio-economic development goals and sustainable poverty reduction".
According to Mr. Thuan, the district has focused on improving State management capacity, developing specific plans to implement rapid and sustainable poverty reduction work, in accordance with specific local conditions.
On the other hand, according to Mr. Thuan, the local government also supports and creates conditions for the poor to borrow capital to develop production, teach vocational skills, and create stable jobs to increase income.
In 2024, the district had a poverty rate of 5.56% decreased compared to 2023, reaching 139% of the plan; the poverty rate of ethnic minority households decreased by 9.01%, reaching 150.17% of the plan...
Dak Glong district hopes to escape the list of poor districts in the country by 2025. With the continuous efforts and determination of the Party Committee, the consensus and support of the People, in 2024, Dak Nong province has achieved many remarkable achievements and results.
In particular, the province's average income per capita reached over 82 million VND/year, nearly double compared to 2020.
Dak Nong province currently ranks 43rd out of 63 provinces and cities and second in the Central Highlands region, after Lam Dong province in terms of per capita income.
Continuing to reserve resources for the poor
In 2024, poverty reduction work achieved positive results, the poverty rate decreased to 3.15%, ranking first in the Central Highlands region and in the top 10 nationwide in poverty reduction work.
Regarding social security and charity work alone, in 2024, the province mobilized and called for over 80 billion VND. Thanks to that, nearly 200 houses have been rebuilt and repaired, contributing to improving people's lives and improving the happiness index.

The leader of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee said that in 2025, to achieve the goal of reducing the poverty rate by 1% or more, the province will continue to promote the implementation of social security policies.
The province also focuses on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the implementation of national target programs. In particular, priority will be given to resources for remote areas, villages and hamlets of ethnic minority areas.
"The entire political system is focusing all resources to support the construction of houses for poor households. Helping households in difficult circumstances have a place to settle down and make a living will contribute significantly to sustainable poverty reduction in ethnic minority areas.
By December 31, 2025, the locality will try to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province," added the leader of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee.
