On August 8, the People's Committee of Đắk Glong District (Đắk Nông Province) announced that the unit had successfully enforced the removal of over 2.3 hectares of land that had been illegally encroached upon at plot 1769, Đắk Plao Commune.
According to the People's Committee of Đắk Glong District, over 2.3 hectares of land that had been encroached upon is forestland at plot 1769, in the hamlet of B’Nơm Păng Rắh, Đắk Plao Commune, Đắk Glong District.
Among them, there were 3 cases where the encroaching party could not be identified. The competent authorities had notified many times, but no one came to take responsibility to handle and settle the matter.
Therefore, Đắk Glong District implemented measures to mitigate the consequences in the field of land management for cases where the violator could not be identified.
In addition to fully implementing the legal procedures to proceed with the clearance of the aforementioned land area, Đắk Glong District also prepared a sufficient force including the police, engineering troops, security forces, and local authorities to carry out the enforcement and clearance.
According to Mr. Nguyễn Vĩnh Trường, Chairman of the People's Committee of Đắk Plao Commune, the clearance took place safely, without any opposition. This activity aimed to protect the state-owned land area, ensure the local land management and use plan.
The competent authorities had completely destroyed all crops and assets on the land, restored the original state of the land, and handed it over to the Đắk Glong District People's Committee for continued management and allocation.
After the clearance and land recovery, the local authorities will proceed with the allocation of resettlement for people who were affected by the clearance in the implementation of the Đồng Nai 3 Hydroelectric Project.
