In the afternoon of March 14, at Truong Sa Island (belonging to Truong Sa special zone), officers, soldiers and people on the island organized incense offering at cultural and spiritual locations and volleyball exchanges to celebrate the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
Attending the incense offering ceremony were Mr. Pham Thanh Liem - Chairman of Truong Sa Special Zone People's Committee, Chairman of the Truong Sa Special Zone Election Council; along with a large number of officials, soldiers, people and forces working and living on the island.
At the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, officers, soldiers and people on the island respectfully offered incense, commemorated and expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and People, National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Figure.
Before his spirit, officers, soldiers and people on the island vowed to continue to promote tradition, excellently complete all tasks assigned by the Party, Fatherland and People; determined to build Truong Sa island "strong in defense, good in lifestyle, beautiful in landscape and environment, exemplary in military-civilian solidarity".
At the Martyrs' Memorial, soldiers and people on the island laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a minute of silence to express their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland and the happiness of the People.
Cadres, soldiers and people on the island express their determination to be wholeheartedly loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; continue to inherit the glorious revolutionary cause of previous generations, firmly protect the sacred sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Along with the incense offering activity, in the afternoon of the same day, Truong Sa Island organized a volleyball exchange to celebrate the election day.
The activity attracted a large number of officers, soldiers and people to participate, creating a vibrant and united atmosphere on the island.
At the same time, forces on the island continue to propagate and mobilize fishing boats that are exploiting seafood around the area; and at the same time guide fishermen to go to the island to register to participate in elections.
Up to now, the Voting Area No. 14 on Truong Sa Island has guided and received nearly 50 fishermen to register to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
