Regarding the particularly serious passenger bus accident that occurred in the early morning of July 25 on National Highway 1A through Dong Trinh Residential Group, Song Tri Ward (Ha Tinh Province), up to now, the authorities have identified the identities of the 10 deceased victims.
Among the confirmed deaths, many were from the same family. The list includes: Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan (born in 1976, from Bac Ninh province) and his daughter Nguyen Phuong Thuy (born in 2012) who did not survive. Ms. Bui Thi Hue (born in 1994, residing in Ninh Binh) and her daughter Do Phuong Thao (born in 2021) were also among the dead victims.
Other victims include Ms. Vu Thi Thoan (born in 1978, from Thanh Hoa), Ms. Vu Thi Thuy (born in 1982, from Hanoi), Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1990, from Da Nang), Ms. Nong Thi Phuong (born in 1982, from Bac Ninh), Mr. Nguyen Van C (from Hanoi) and Ms. Vo Thi Nhu Quynh (born in 1995).
The injured are being treated at Ky Anh General Hospital, which is not at risk of life.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. According to the driver's initial statement, the front tire exploded, leading to loss of control. The rapid test results showed that the driver was negative for drugs and alcohol concentration.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, at around 2:10 a.m. on July 25, at Km571+800 National Highway 1A, passing through Dong Trinh Residential Group, Song Tri Ward, a sleeper bus with license plate 43F-007.76 driven by Tan Kim Chi bus company (Hanoi - Da Nang route) driver Le Ngoc Thanh (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Hoa province) crashed into a milestone on the side of the road and overturned.
At the time of the accident, there were 28 people on the bus, including the driver, bus assistant and 26 passengers (including 1 child under 7 years old). As a result, 10 people died - of which 7 died on the spot, 3 died after emergency care. The remaining injured people are being treated at Ky Anh Town General Hospital. Ha Tinh Provincial Police are investigating, examining the scene and technically assessing the vehicle to determine the official cause.
Immediately after the accident, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Director of the Provincial Police were present at the scene to direct rescue work, examine, visit, encourage the victims and direct traffic.
Currently, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has quickly reported to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
