According to the report, at 4:00 p.m. on November 18, the People's Committee of the commune received a report from the Hien Quan Commune Police about a drowning incident involving students at Hien Quan Secondary School.
Through initial verification, 10 students invited each other to the riverbank in area 1, Hien Quan commune. While playing, 6 students drowned (3 boys, 3 girls, 1 was rescued and is now in stable health).
Currently, 5 students are still missing. Specifically, T.M.D, H.T.T.L, B.K.L.A, H.T.D and L.A.D, all are 8th grade students at Hien Quan Secondary School.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the scene, it was raining, the riverbank area was very dark, and authorities and divers were mobilized to search for the students.
