According to the reporter's records, on the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, along both sides of National Highway 6 through Van Ho district, long lines of motorbikes, cars, large trucks... were busily following each other carrying peach branches and wild peach trees to the lowlands to celebrate Tet.

In Long Luong commune - one of the areas where many highland peach branches are sold, cut from people's gardens and fields, Mr. Sung A Ho (34 years old) said that every year, about 1 month before Tet, traders from Phu Tho, Nam Dinh, Hanoi... provinces come to deposit money to buy peach branches.
"Up to now, my family has sold about 200 peach branches and nearly 100 grafted peach trees," said Mr. Ho.
According to Mr. Ho, most people cut down peach trees and sell them along Highway 6. Some people collect peach branches in the villages to resell to traders in districts inside and outside the province. The main customers are people from the lowlands who drive up to buy peach trees in the highlands to celebrate Tet.
According to a survey by reporters, the price of peach trees sold here ranges from 400,000 to 500,000 VND/branch, grafted peach trees cost from several million VND, and perennial trees with moss, mold, rough roots, and beautiful shapes cost up to several tens of millions of VND.

The buying and selling is bustling, Mr. Tran Duy Khanh from Hanoi shared: "Every year I bring my family here to rest during this time, on the way back I often stop to buy peach blossoms for Tet in Van Ho district. Compared to Hanoi, buying directly here is cheaper and you can choose the branches you like."
“Depending on the shape of the peach branch and the age of the tree, each branch has a different price, ranging from a few hundred thousand to a million dong, ensuring to meet the needs of buyers,” said Mr. Khanh.

Mr. Do The Hung from Phu Tho - a veteran peach trader said that for many years now, every time the Lunar New Year approaches, he and some friends go to Van Ho to buy peach branches.
Customers in the lowlands really like peach trees grown in Van Ho district, Moc Chau because they are cared for, grow naturally, and are suitable for the climate and soil, so they have many buds, beautiful flowers, and moss clinging to the tree trunk.
Peach branches also have different prices, suitable for many customers, so they are easy to sell, without worrying about unsold goods.

“Depending on the price of each branch purchased here, when transported to Phu Tho, the price will be about 25% higher than the import price. Since the beginning of January, I have transported 2 peach blossom trips to Phu Tho, each trip has about 20 peach branches and about 10 peach trees,” Mr. Hung shared.
