According to Lao Dong reporter, at exactly 10:47 in front of house number 45 Van Cao (opposite Sao Sang 4 Kindergarten), a large royal poinciana tree fell across the road, crushing a service car. The royal poinciana tree fell about 15 m high, the base diameter was about 50 cm, and the branches and leaves were thin. Trees fell almost at the end of Van Cao Street, causing local traffic congestion in this area.
Notably, the incident occurred in the area under construction of repair and renovation of drainage systems, sidewalks and underground power lines on Van Cao Street (phase 1) in Gia Vien Ward. The project has been implemented since November 2025 and is expected to be completed in October 2026.

On the morning of November 26, the sidewalk next to the tree stumps was dug about 1 m deep, breaking many tree roots. Witnessing the incident, many people were upset because the construction unit did not take measures to ensure safety at the construction site. Although the incident did not cause any human casualties, the risk of insecurity is very high. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a resident of Van Cao Street, said: "Since this morning, when I saw the unit digging the roots and roots of the trees, I saw it as very dangerous. Now that this incident has occurred, we are very concerned about safety. Fortunately, the incident happened near noon, if it happened in the morning, it would be dangerous because it was the right time for families to take their children to school".
