Investing 300 billion to expand Vinh Binh bridge connecting Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Binh Bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong is being calculated for expansion, expected to need about 300 billion VND to implement.

According to records, Binh Duong province is currently expanding National Highway 13 from 6 to 8 lanes. Ho Chi Minh City is also implementing a project to expand this route in Ho Chi Minh City.

Binh Duong province has also issued an official dispatch requesting Ho Chi Minh City to upgrade and expand Vinh Binh bridge on National Highway 13.

It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has agreed on the policy of implementing investment in upgrading and expanding Vinh Binh Bridge under the form of public investment. The expansion of Vinh Binh Bridge aims to ensure synchronous traffic connection with National Highway 13 between the two provinces and cities according to the approved planning scale.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has proposed that the People's Committee of Binh Duong province report to the Provincial People's Council to agree with Ho Chi Minh City and report to the Prime Minister to assign the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as the governing body to organize the implementation of the project investment according to regulations.

It is known that Vinh Binh Bridge is currently managed by Ho Chi Minh City but is located in two localities. The estimated investment scale for upgrading and expanding Vinh Binh Bridge is about 300 billion VND.
