To have a plan to organize traffic and adjust the appropriate traffic light waiting time to reduce congestion, from March 23, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Construction has assigned specialized units to count traffic volume at the Do Duc Duc - Pham Hung intersection (Ring Road 3) during peak hours. Morning from 6:30 - 7:30 - 8:30 - 8:30 - 9:00; afternoon from 16:30 - 17:30, 17:30 - 16:30, 18:30 - 19:00. Each counting lasts 60 minutes.
Accordingly, the professional units will count the traffic volume turning left from Pham Hung Street to Do Duc Duc Street and from Pham Hung Street to the road connecting Nam Trung Yen urban area. On this basis, the authorities will study the plan to adjust traffic lights and organize traffic appropriately.
The average vehicle counting results on Pham Hung - Do Duc Duc road range from 766 to more than 1,900 cars and motorbikes; on Pham Hung - Nam Trung Yen road, this number ranges from 739 to 942 vehicles.
A representative of the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that the counting of vehicles aims to adjust the traffic light beam and reorganize traffic at the Pham Hung - Do Duc Duc intersection (Ring Road 3).
From this result, the Department of Construction's Maintenance Board will coordinate with the consulting unit to calculate and propose a traffic organization plan, including adjusting the time of red lights at the intersection accordingly.
