On the morning of February 25, the Road Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police invited driver V.H.H (44 years old, residing in Dong Be, Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa) to work.
According to images from dash cams provided by local residents, on the afternoon of February 4, 2025, at km 1476+500 National Highway 1 on the Dien Khanh bypass, a tractor-trailer with license plate 79H-066.50 driven by driver V.H.H was driving in the wrong lane, causing obstacles and frustration for road users.
A journey camera from a car in the opposite direction recorded the entire incident.
Upon receiving the information, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police transferred the image to the Road Traffic Police Team for verification and handling according to its authority.
Working with the staff of the Ministry Road Traffic Police Team, driver V.H.H admitted to the violation. The Road Traffic Police Team has drawn up a violation record for the crime of "driving a vehicle in the wrong lane".
According to Decree 168/2024, the act of driving in the wrong lane (in the wrong direction) is subject to a fine of 4 to 6 million VND and will result in a deduction of 2 points on the driving license.
