On September 15, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports (DCS) of Hue City said that he had sent a document to the Department of Culture and Sports of HCMC requesting verification and handling a TikToker who posted a clip insulting women in Hue and Quang Tri.
Previously, a TikTok account named T.T.D (residing in Ho Chi Minh City) posted a video filmed at Truong Tien Bridge, in which this person went and lowered the prices of Hue and Quang Tri women. The clip also contains many offensive and vulgar words, causing public outrage.
The clip quickly spread on social networks, receiving millions of views. Most netizens condemned the content of regionalism and insulting women and thought that this TikToker intentionally attracted views and likes, which were a pure violation of customs.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City recommends that people who make content on social networks such as Facebook and TikTok are often people with high coverage and a large number of followers. Therefore, all statements and content posted must be accurate, relevant, in accordance with the law and customs.
"With uncultured and offensive statements like the above man, we will certainly be strictly handled according to regulations," Mr. Hien emphasized.
