According to the approved Road Network Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Lam Dong province (new) has not yet planned an expressway along the East - West axis; connecting road traffic in the western area towards the East Sea is implemented through National Highways 55, 28 and 28B.
To promote the development of industry, urban areas, trade - tourism services, agriculture, open up new development space, create conditions for transporting goods, exporting agricultural products, and contribute to ensuring national defense and security, it is necessary to study the planning of the expressway along the East - West axis connecting economic centers and urban areas Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia according to the recommendation of voters in Lam Dong province.
The Ministry of Construction acknowledges the proposal of Lam Dong voters and will consider and study the addition of the expressway along the East-West axis connecting economic centers, urban areas Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia in the process of reviewing and adjusting the road network planning according to the Planning Law.
In case Lam Dong province needs to invest in expressways early to meet the needs of local socio-economic development, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Lam Dong province review, study and update the plan of Lam Dong province as a basis for investment implementation. The Ministry of Construction will closely coordinate with the People's Committee of Lam Dong province in the process of studying the planning and investment of the expressway.
