Bustling atmosphere before the farewell hour
On the afternoon of March 4, in the campus of the Military Command of Khanh Binh commune (An Giang province), brilliant flags and flowers, banners, and slogans were solemnly hung along the entrance. From very early in the morning, hundreds of people, union members, members of unions and relatives of new recruits were present to attend the meeting night, seeing off the young people enlisting for military service and police service in 2026.

In neat uniform colors, the new recruits stood in a neat line. On each person's face was excitement mixed with a bit of emotion before the moment of saying goodbye to family and homeland to enter the military environment. The loudspeaker playing revolutionary traditional songs made the atmosphere even more solemn but also full of emotion.
Below the delegate seats and people, many mothers silently watched their sons. Some gently adjusted the collar, stroked their son's hair like a familiar habit. Some held their son's strong hands tightly, their eyes sparkling with pride mixed with worry. Tight hugs, simple reminders: "Take care of your health, son!", "Go there and try to train well!"... echoed in the yard, creating an emotional picture of motherhood in the send-off night.

Mr. Ta Van Khuong - Chairman of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee emphasized: "The work of selecting and calling citizens to enlist this year has been carried out strictly by the locality, in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and fairness. The Commune Military Service Council has coordinated with departments and mass organizations to thoroughly review each case, ensuring that the selected young people all have good moral qualities, clear backgrounds, and health meets the requirements according to regulations.
According to Mr. Khuong, in recent years, the youth of Khanh Binh commune have always promoted the heroic tradition of their homeland in the border region, enthusiastically set out to perform the task of protecting the Fatherland and successfully completing their assigned duties. Many children, after being discharged from the army, have grown up and become the core force in socio-economic development in the locality.
Enlisting in the army is a great honor for the youth. The Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Binh commune believe that they will continue to promote the traditions of their homeland, constantly study, train, strictly adhere to military discipline, and excellently complete all assigned tasks," Mr. Khuong advised.
Proud to put on a soldier's uniform
Amidst the crowd chatting and encouraging each other, Nguyen Hoang Anh (residing in Co To hamlet, Khanh Binh commune, An Giang province) - one of the young people preparing to enlist, could not hide his pride. Nguyen Hoang Anh said that from a young age he dreamed of wearing a military uniform, living and training in the military environment.
I see this as a good environment to train myself, live disciplinedly and become more mature. My family supports me very much, my parents encourage me a lot, so I am even more determined. I will try to complete my task well so as not to disappoint everyone's trust," Nguyen Hoang Anh shared.

Besides, Le Minh Thai (18 years old, residing in Khanh Hoa hamlet, Khanh Binh commune, An Giang province) said that he had prepared mentally for many months before. When receiving the enlistment order, Thai was also a little worried because it was the first time away from home for a long time. However, thanks to the encouragement of family, friends and the concern of local authorities, Thai gradually felt more confident.
At first I was worried, but thinking this is the responsibility and obligation of young people to the Fatherland, I feel very proud. I promise to try to train really well, strictly comply with the unit's regulations and complete all assigned tasks," Le Minh Thai affirmed.

Chairman of Khanh Binh Commune People's Committee said that on the morning of March 5, 32 young people from Khanh Binh commune will officially join the army, carrying the feelings, beliefs and expectations of their families and homeland to enlist in the army to perform the task of protecting the Fatherland.
