On the morning of September 18, Mr. Thai Quang Man - Vice Chairman of Lam Son Commune People's Committee (Ninh Son District) confirmed that the bodies of two primary school students swept away by floodwaters while crossing a stream spillway had been found.
Yesterday afternoon, September 17, M.N (grade 3) and S.L.Y.P (grade 1, both studying at Lam Son B Primary School) rode their bicycles from Lam Quy village to Gon 1 village.
When crossing the spillway, due to the strong flood water, both children were swept away.
Local people and local authorities have joined the search for the missing students.
However, that afternoon the weather was bad, with heavy rain and floodwaters rising quickly, making it difficult to find the victim's body.
At 10:00 p.m. on September 17, the forces found the bodies of two students about 2km from the spillway.
