On January 30, at Muong Thanh Tourist Market (Dien Bien Phu ward), Quang Ninh NQT Trading and Construction Joint Stock Company coordinated with philanthropists to organize the program "Green Banh Chung - Spring of Gratitude".
Information from the Organizing Committee, the program takes place in 2 days (January 30-31). It is expected that nearly 1,000 banh chung will be completed to be promptly given to children at SOS Children's Village Dien Bien Phu, patients in the "kidney dialysis village" and many other difficult circumstances in the province.
At the program, a large number of volunteers and philanthropists together prepared materials such as dong leaves, sticky rice, pork, green beans...
Notably, besides the traditional square banh chung, volunteers also skillfully wrap banh chung go - a unique culinary culture of the Thai ethnic people.
Participating in the cake wrapping stage, Ms. Quang Thi Xuan (Phu village, Thanh An commune) said: "This is the first time I have participated in a large-scale and meaningful banh chung wrapping program. I am very happy to contribute a part of my efforts to bring the Tet flavor to those less fortunate.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee said that all funding for the program comes from contributions from the Company, clubs and socialized sources.
The organizers also wish to spread the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, and sharing of the community towards disadvantaged lives, sick people, and lonely elderly people.
At the same time, contributing to preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people every Tet holiday and Spring.
