On the afternoon of December 15, Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company responded to the press regarding the incident of a man dying on a medium voltage power pole belonging to Vinh Hai Power Company.
According to initial information, the victim was Mr. N.X.V (born in 1991, originally from Dien Phu commune, Khanh Hoa province), who was found dead on a medium voltage power pole on December 7.
After the incident, representatives of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company visited, expressed condolences and supported the victim's family.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh Loi - Deputy General Director of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company - said that the incident is being investigated by the authorities to clarify the cause. Therefore, the enterprise cannot provide more detailed information until there is an official conclusion.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh Loi, before the incident, Dong Nguyen Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company (Dong Nguyen Company) signed a contract for construction and relocation of the power grid with Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company.
This area is implementing the construction of National Highway 1A project to Ben Mieu bridge - the section of National Highway to Battalion 2 - E23 invested by Khanh Hoa Provincial Police.
According to the approved work plan, on December 7, Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company will organize a power outage to serve the construction, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the same day.
After Dong Nguyen Company completed the construction, Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company received the site and reviewed the safety process before turning the power back on.
Accordingly, at 6:48 p.m. on December 7, the commanding representative at the scene of Dong Nguyen Company handed over the safe scene to the duty team of Vinh Hai Power Company of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company.
After reviewing the route, at 7:17 p.m. on December 7, the power grid operator of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company re-powered the medium-voltage power pole.
Providing more information about the time of the victim's death, Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh Loi said that the protective equipment of the Electricity industry recorded the time of the incident (the victim died on the medium voltage power pole) as 7:20 p.m. on December 7.
Regarding the information that Mr. N.X.V is not a member of Dong Nguyen Company, Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh Loi affirmed that this is the content being verified by the authorities during the investigation.
When the results are official, the authorities will announce them according to regulations.
