On the morning of March 9, Lam Dong Power Company said that it had requested its affiliated units to urgently develop and implement a detailed electricity supply plan for all areas, especially polling and counting locations and headquarters of Party, State, and local government leadership agencies.
Ensuring electricity supply not only directly serves the election work but also meets the needs of people to follow activities related to this important political event.
PC Lam Dong requests units to closely coordinate, build reasonable power source and grid operating methods, ensuring the power system operates safely and flexibly in all situations.
The units also reviewed and fully statistically analyzed the polling locations in the managed area, and at the same time developed a plan for stable power supply before, during and after the election period.
Mr. Nghiem Xuan Duc - Secretary of Ward 2 Bao Loc (Lam Dong) - said that with the early involvement and responsibility of the electricity sector, so far all electoral units and polling stations in the area have ensured safety conditions. The sound and lighting system has basically been completed to serve the election work.
To enhance the reliability of power supply, electricity units have inspected and consolidated the power grid; prepared sufficient supplies, spare equipment, communication equipment and means of transportation, ready to handle quickly when incidents occur.
During the election period, the electricity sector will not stop or reduce electricity supply, disrupting customer electricity use, except in cases of force majeure to handle incidents.
In addition, affiliated power companies arranged technical duty forces at polling stations throughout the voting period; organized increased leadership duty, operation duty and electricity repair 24/24 hours.
110kV substations are also strengthened with on-duty regimes to ensure the ability to quickly handle situations arising on the power grid.
In parallel with technical work, PC Lam Dong coordinates with local authorities, police and military forces to deploy plans to protect security and safety for the power system; and at the same time propagate to people to use electricity safely, economically, and not violate the safety corridor of the power grid.
Leaders of Lam Dong Power Company affirmed that, with synchronous, proactive and highly responsible preparation, the unit is determined to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the power system, contributing to the successful service of the country's important political event.
