Quang Tri - The power grid to Rao Con village helps people have a stable source of electricity, gradually opening up opportunities for economic development and improving their lives.

On December 24, the infrastructure investment project in Rao Con village, including 0.4kV domestic grid power and internal traffic roads in Phong Nha commune, Quang Tri province, came into operation, lighting up the residential area after the construction period.

The project is implemented with main items including investment in the construction of a 6.463km 22kV medium-voltage line; construction of a 250kVA-22/0.4kV transformer station; investment in a 0.4kV low-voltage line of 2.282km; and construction of a new 98.5m inland traffic route.

The project is invested by the Bo Trach Land Fund Development and Investment Project Management Board, with a total investment of 11 billion VND, using targeted support capital from Quang Tri province, and started construction on July 20, 2025.

The implementation is carried out in accordance with the plan, ensuring technical requirements and set progress. Of which, the construction package worth nearly 9.5 billion VND is constructed by 638 Construction Company Limited.

The completion and putting the power grid project into use is of great significance in improving living conditions for the people of Rao Con village, contributing to improving the quality of life, ensuring social security, while creating a foundation for developing production and services and gradually narrowing the infrastructure gap between the mountainous areas and the central area.

In addition to infrastructure investment items, Construction Company Limited 638 in collaboration with the Central Sun Power Company Limited and Quang Tri Power Company Limited has supported 62 households in the area to pull domestic electricity from meters at power poles to households.

Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Ho Thau - Head of Rao Con village said that having national grid electricity has been a long-standing wish of the villagers.

Previously, there was no electricity, making daily activities very difficult, at night we only relied on flashlights or charcoal from solar panels, children had to study hard. Now that there is stable electricity, people are very excited, feel secure in their work, and take care of their children's education. This is an important condition for Rao Con village to gradually develop and improve its long-term life," said Mr. Ho Thau.

The completion and putting the project into use not only helps people in Rao Con village have stable electricity for daily life and more convenient transportation, but also creates conditions to promote socio-economic development, gradually improving the quality of life in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas.
