Phu Tho - According to the people's wishes, the authorities will adjust the operating hours of Phong Chau pontoon bridge during the day.

Following the wishes of the majority of people on both banks of the Red River in Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts, the Engineering Corps Command has decided to adjust the operating time of Phong Chau pontoon bridge one hour earlier, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day, starting from October 11.

After 9:00 p.m., Brigade 249 (Engineering Corps) will conduct maintenance and check the technical condition of the bridge and will not cut the bridge. The cutting time will be announced later.

The operation of the pontoon bridge will depend on actual conditions. Brigade 249 will report to superiors to make specific adjustments regarding time, quantity, and types of vehicles allowed to pass through the bridge, to maximize the effectiveness of the pontoon bridge while still ensuring absolute safety in all aspects.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 6, the Army force had reconnected the Phong Chau pontoon bridge to serve the travel needs of the people. Pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles such as bicycles, motorbikes, and scooters... travel in two directions; cars and pickup trucks travel in one direction.
