On July 27, Le Thuy Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that an inter-communal road subsidence had just occurred in the area, affecting people's travel.
On the same morning, the inter-communal road section through Thach Tan village, Le Thuy commune suddenly subsided vertically.
The subsidence area extends about 50m, with a depth of 0.5-1m.
Immediately after discovering the incident, functional forces were present at the scene, barricaded and requested vehicles not to pass through this road section to ensure safety.
Currently, functional forces are inspecting the scene, investigating the cause of the subsidence and assessing the extent of the impact to have a plan to handle and overcome, ensuring traffic safety on the route.
