On the afternoon of June 4, Inspection Team No. 3 of the General Department of Politics led by Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, conducted an inspection of Party work, political work (CTĐ, CTCT) and some military work contents in the first 6 months of 2026 at the Military Command (CHQS) of Phu Quoc Special Zone (An Giang province) and Brigade 950 (Military Region 9).
At the working session, the delegation listened to units report on the results of implementing Party and political work tasks and military tasks in the past time. In the context of the world and regional situation, in the Southwest sea area and Phu Quoc area, there are still many potential complex factors, Party committees and commanders of units have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented resolutions, directives, and orders from superiors. Strictly maintain combat readiness; well implement political education, ideological management, Party building, cadre work, mass mobilization, and policies; improve the quality of training, build regularity, manage discipline and ensure logistics and technology for tasks.
For the Phu Quoc Special Military Command, the delegation focused on grasping the results of implementing the 2-level local government model; consolidating organizational structure, arranging forces, ensuring facilities, weapons and equipment, and stabilizing the operation of local military agencies after reorganizing the apparatus. For Brigade 950, the delegation focused on inspecting training, combat readiness, building regularity, managing discipline and the ability to perform tasks to protect the key southwestern area of the Fatherland.
Along with listening to reports, the working delegation directly inspected the system of documents, CTĐ, CTCT books; plans, resolutions, leadership regulations; organizational work of Party building, building comprehensively strong units "model and typical"; and at the same time inspected the actual facilities, workplaces, accommodation, and living of soldiers and the preservation and management of weapons and technical equipment at units.
Speaking in conclusion, Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Phu Quoc Special Military Command and Brigade 950 in the past time. The comrade highly appreciated the proactiveness of the units in consolidating organization, stabilizing operations according to the 2-level local government model, strictly maintaining combat readiness, improving training quality, building regularity, managing discipline and effectively implementing mass mobilization and policies.
Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested Party committees and commanders of units to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement resolutions and directives of superiors; proactively grasp and accurately forecast the situation, not to be passive or surprised in any situation; focus on building Party committees and Party organizations that are clean and strong, comprehensively strong agencies and units that are "model and typical"; promote digital transformation, administrative reform; improve the quality of training, combat readiness, strictly manage areas and goals and effectively coordinate with forces in the area. At the same time, proactively review and prepare well in all aspects, ready to participate in the implementation of tasks related to the preparation and service of the APEC 2027 Conference in Phu Quoc, contributing to maintaining political stability, national defense, and security in the Southwest of the Fatherland.
