On the afternoon of May 29, the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province organized a ceremony to award decisions on promotion and salary increase for officers and professional soldiers in 2026. Major General Nguyen Van Hung, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, chaired the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Military Command announced and awarded decisions to 177 officers with military ranks from Lieutenant Colonel level and below; of which 110 comrades were promoted to military ranks and regular salary increases and 67 comrades were promoted to military ranks and salary increases ahead of schedule.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Hung, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, emphasized that the promotion and salary increase are recognition of the Party, State, and Army for the process of training, striving, and dedication of the team of officers and professional soldiers in performing military and local defense tasks. This is not only an honor for each individual but also a motivation to continue striving and better fulfilling the assigned responsibilities and tasks.
The Comrade Commander of the Provincial Military Command requested the comrades who were promoted to military ranks and increased salaries to continue to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; constantly study and improve their qualifications and working capacity; maintain internal solidarity, strictly comply with military discipline and State laws; actively participate in building comprehensively strong agencies and units that are "exemplary and typical", contributing to successfully completing military and national defense tasks in 2026 and the following years.
Representatives of officers and professional soldiers who were promoted to military ranks and increased salaries expressed their honor and pride in being cared for and recognized by the Party, State, and Army. At the same time, they promised to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, actively study and train, improve their qualifications in all aspects, unite, overcome difficulties, and successfully complete all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of Party committees and commanders at all levels.
The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, showing the concern of the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command for personnel work, contributing to encouraging and motivating the contingent of officers and professional soldiers to continue to contribute and build the province's armed forces to become increasingly strong, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
