In the afternoon of March 1st, at the Tea Connect Conference Center, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province organized a working session with businesses and investors to exchange and orient solutions to problems in the project implementation process in the area.
The working session was chaired by Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee who are heads of 6 project review working groups; leaders of departments and branches, and representatives of more than 350 businesses.
Accordingly, the whole province currently has 2,938 valid investment projects with a total registered capital of more than 2,114 trillion VND. Of which, 2,109 projects have been completed and put into operation; 829 projects are implementing legal procedures.

Through review, there are 359 projects facing difficulties and obstacles that need to be removed.
Over the past time, the province has established 6 working groups headed by 6 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee to directly review and work with businesses. Up to now, 22/359 projects have been dismantled.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that Lam Dong is currently the locality with the largest area in the country, possessing an open development space with diverse terrain, from the fertile basalt red plateau, mild climate to the South Central Coast region with a 192km long coastline.
These are important advantages to attract investment and socio-economic development. However, in reality, there are still 359 backlog projects due to many objective and subjective reasons, affecting the implementation progress and hindering the overall development of the locality.

The total registered capital of projects facing difficulties is nearly 250,000 billion VND, of which about 150,000 billion VND has been poured into reality by investors. If removed, this resource will create a great driving force for growth.
At the working session, business representatives reflected many difficulties such as overlap in planning; especially there are 25 projects overlapping mineral planning according to Decision 866 of the Prime Minister.

Besides, there are legal procedure obstacles related to energy, renewable energy, wind power, minerals, real estate, construction... requiring guidance and opinions from central ministries and sectors.
Provincial leaders affirmed that Lam Dong shares the difficulties of businesses and investors. No one wants the project to be prolonged after being approved for investment policy due to land, planning or legal procedures.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that to remove difficulties for projects, close companionship and cooperation from businesses are very necessary.
The province will review and classify by group of issues, implementing according to the motto "easier to do first, difficult to do later".

For contents under their authority, localities will focus on resolving them soon, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Issues beyond authority will be summarized and proposed to ministries, branches and the Government for consideration and handling in the coming time.
