At noon on January 15, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that on January 14, Phuong Trang transport enterprise provided access to the vehicle's journey monitoring system to the Traffic Police Department to carry out state management of transport business in accordance with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety.
This is the first enterprise to proactively provide a journey monitoring system for transport business vehicles to the Traffic Police Department," a representative of the unit said.
The journey monitoring of Phuong Trang bus company provided to the traffic police force includes:
Location and itinerary information (GPS coordinates in real time; direction of movement; instant speed; distance traveled; stopping point, parking (time, location);
Driver driving time (permanent driving time; total driving time in a day; break time between shifts; number of drivers driving in a trip).
Speed and traffic violations (running over the allowed speed according to each section of road, time, number of speed violations; running on the wrong route, wrong route; Stopping and parking in the wrong places);
Vehicle identification information (vehicle number, vehicle type, management unit, operating route, departure time - end of trip, registered/licensed route);
Information from the car's camera (Images of the driver, sleepiness, phone use, not wearing seat belts..., time of incident, collision);
Warning information, unusual events (Urgent braking; sudden acceleration/deceleration; vehicles going off-route; loss of signal, disconnection of equipment; opening car doors while driving).
Representatives of the Traffic Police Department said that the fact that transport businesses proactively provide journey monitoring information to the traffic police force has a very large effect in ensuring traffic order and safety in order to: Transparency and publicity of transport business activities;
Preventing violations, detecting early violations affecting traffic order and safety and business operations of enterprises (Excessive speeding, using phones, driving over the prescribed time, running on the wrong route, illegal parking...) early and remotely, through continuous and objective monitoring, without relying on patrol forces;
Assess the safety level of the bus company; Raise drivers' awareness of compliance, drivers know they are always being monitored, so violations will be limited.
