On April 24, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) held a signing ceremony of a capital sponsorship contract to serve the green transformation of the bus fleet between Transerco, Hanoi City Development Investment Fund (HANIF) and Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) - Dong Da Branch.

The signing ceremony is an important milestone, not only of financial significance but also showing the strong determination of the parties in realizing the goal of developing the capital's public transport system in a green - clean - sustainable direction, in accordance with the orientations and directions of the Central Government, the Government and Hanoi City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Danh Toan - General Director of the Hanoi Development Investment Fund emphasized the important significance of the event, considering it a breakthrough milestone in efforts to reduce emissions and improve the urban environment. He expressed his expectation that cooperation between the parties will make practical contributions to the green transformation process of the Capital, and at the same time contribute to completing the tasks and goals assigned by the city.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Doanh - Director of BIDV Dong Da Branch said that the unit is very honored to accompany Transerco in this meaningful project. According to him, today's signing ceremony is the beginning of a sustainable and long-term cooperative relationship to promote the "greening" of transportation, creating sustainable values for the community.

Representative of Transerco, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Chairman of the Member Council of the Corporation expressed his appreciation for the companionship of HANIF and BIDV - Dong Da Branch. In the coming time, the Corporation expects to continue to receive the companionship of financial institutions to meet the demand for large investment capital, and at the same time aim to build an effective cooperation model between the State - Financial Institution - Enterprise in the green transformation process in Hanoi.

With the role of a key unit in the field of public passenger transport, Transerco has proactively developed a Project to convert bus vehicles using green energy in the 2024–2035 period. Accordingly, the Corporation and member units plan to invest in more than 1,300 electric buses and charging station infrastructure systems, with a total investment of about 6,500 billion VND. Faced with the increasing demands of the City to accelerate the green transformation progress, Transerco sets a goal to strive to complete the transformation roadmap before 2030.
