In recent days, Cao Bang city has organized a general cleaning campaign to improve the environmental landscape on both sides of the Bang River (Bang Giang), from Gia Cung Bridge to Hoang Nga Bridge.
Nearly 1,000 people have participated in this activity, including cadres, civil servants, public employees of departments, armed forces, police, associations - unions, and a large number of cadres and people of the wards: Hop Giang, Song Hien, Song Bang, Ngoc Xuan and Tan Giang.


According to records, on the morning of April 19, forces focused on clearing the flow, checking, cleaning and repairing the drainage system along both sides of the river, and drainage ditches leading into the river.
At the same time, beautiful covers are applied at the wastewater discharge gates along the embankment, waste collection and treatment, and additional trees are planted to suit ecological conditions and urban space. In addition, a lighting system has also been installed; some small riverbank attractions have been renovated to increase aesthetics, serving the needs of community activities.

On April 20, information from the People's Committee of Cao Bang City, the locality is calling on agencies, units, and households living on both sides of the river to closely coordinate with local forces to maintain hygiene and environmental landscape; stop littering the river and along the river.
The city aims to build a green - clean - beautiful urban area, develop eco-tourism, and improve the quality of life of people in the central area.

According to research, this is also an activity to effectively implement general cleaning and environmental improvement of the Bang River to prepare for the operation of the Cao Bang city water dam.
This project has a total investment of 150 billion VND, when put into operation, it will significantly improve the urban appearance while ensuring water regulation, preventing deep flooding in the city center.
As of April 20, the 3 main concrete pillars of the dam body have been completed, and the remaining items are being urgently deployed.


According to the representative of the People's Committee of Cao Bang City, all contractors are striving to put the project into operation on April 30 this year.
In addition to setting a goal of completing the project soon, Cao Bang city is continuing to develop a project to manage and exploit experiential tourism on the river after the dam is completed.
