On May 12, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Ho Van Ha had a field survey and working trip with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board and Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board (abbreviated as Long Thanh airport) to listen to reports on the direction of 2 metro lines connecting to Long Thanh airport.
According to the plan, there will be 3 railway and metro lines including: North-South high-speed railway line, Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway line and extending the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the city's administrative center and Long Thanh airport.
In which, for the North-South high-speed railway line, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) has had a written agreement with the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) on the route plan, station location, and connection plan.

For the 2 metro lines Thu Thiem - Long Thanh and the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the city's administrative center, Long Thanh airport, at the actual survey and working session, Dong Nai City and Ho Chi Minh City basically agreed on the route plan of the 2 projects for the section from National Highway 51 to the station area located in Long Thanh airport.
The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the city administrative center and Long Thanh airport invested by Dong Nai City will go on the left side of T1 line (direction from National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport) connecting to the terminal area in the airport. The Thu Thiem - Long Thanh metro line will go on the right side of T1 line (direction from National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport) connecting to the terminal area inside the airport.
