Many people believe that when going to Vieng market, they can stroll around all afternoon on the 7th, and from midnight on the 8th they can buy things because that is the time to "buy luck, sell bad luck".

"My family believes that going to Vieng market is a "lucky market". We just go out and enjoy the market; and buy and sell lucky items. After that, I go to the Mother Goddess Temple to pray for luck, peace, prosperity, and a smooth year", said Mr. Vu Dinh Hung (Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province).

In addition to Vieng Phu market, since this afternoon (February 4), Vieng Chua market (Nam Giang town, Nam Truc district) also has many people coming to enjoy spring and "buy luck, sell bad luck".
