Dong Thap portal recently updated information, in the reserve, the red -headed cranes were completed according to the semi -wild model, with full vegetation, water sources and natural scenery. All safety and care conditions are strictly controlled.

The Center for Conservation and International Cooperation (Tram Chim National Park) also deploys the monitoring system including 9 remote CCTV, limiting human impact on cranes. The staff has been trained in Thailand to ensure the care, first aid and crane treatment process according to international standards. The food source is guaranteed to suit the natural diet of the red -headed cranes.
Mr. Doan Van Nhanh - Deputy Director of International Conservation and Cooperation Center, Tram Chim National Park - Knowing, now, the garden has built a temporary process of nurturing, caring and dropping red -headed cranes to nature to deploy in the coming time. In the process of implementation, the care will absorb comments and accumulate experience from experts to complete the process.
In addition to building a breeding cage, in recent years, Tram Chim National Park has actively restored the typical ecosystem of Dong Thap Muoi, ensuring the optimal conditions for the development of the red -headed crane in the future. The metallic fields - the important food source of the red -headed cranes have gradually recovered strongly in the A1, A5, A4 areas; The environment of water and vegetation also gradually recovered.

Previously, on April 13, at Saigon Zoo, where 6 cranes moved to Vietnam from Nakhon Raschasima Zoo (Thailand) being isolated, experts from Thailand, Vietnam and the International Crane Association also discussed the health situation of crane individuals after 3 days of isolation.
The general conclusion of experts is that 6 cranes have recovered well after a long distance and are eligible to be transferred to Tram Chim National Park as planned on April 19, 2025.
6 cranes were taken to the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden on the night of 10.4 after 16 hours of travel by road and air, in hot and humid weather conditions, not to eat and drink. All 6 individuals are safe, without injury, including scratches and no loss of strength.
