On June 19, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the Conference to Announce the Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 and the Dak Lak Provincial Investment Promotion Conference.
At the press conference, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters asked questions related to investment attraction and solutions to remove difficulties for businesses in the project implementation process. The content of concern is to limit the situation of slow project progress, ineffective implementation, prolonged for many years, causing waste of resources and affecting the local investment environment.
In addition, some reporters attending the press conference also asked questions about the province's investment attraction orientation in the coming time, especially solutions to improve the efficiency of capital use and create favorable conditions for investors.
Answering press issues raised, Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that the province's investment call list currently has 257 projects with a total estimated capital of more than 1 million billion VND, equivalent to about 40 billion USD.
This list includes renewable energy projects; industrial park, seaport and logistics infrastructure projects; projects in the fields of agriculture, processing industry, trade - services; urban projects, commercial housing and social housing and many projects in other key areas.
According to Mr. Thai, Dak Lak province is focusing on building a transparent and open investment environment; promoting administrative procedure reform; creating favorable conditions to attract and accompany investors in the project implementation process.
For projects that have been allocated land but are slow to implement, the province will conduct reviews and strictly handle them according to the provisions of law. Projects that have been allocated land but are not implemented after 24 months will be considered for recovery.
The Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that the implementation of investment projects must ensure harmony of interests between the State, businesses and people, especially ethnic minorities in the locality. The province is allocating necessary resources to support people to stabilize their lives, housing and production land when affected by projects.

In the coming time, departments, branches and localities will continue to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses; and at the same time strengthen support for investors in the project implementation process, contributing to improving investment attraction efficiency and promoting socio-economic development of the province.
