According to the decision approving the adjustment of investment policy and also approving the investor of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project is implemented by Mau Son Sun Co., Ltd.
The scale of land use and construction investment is divided into two phases.
Phase I has an area of 121.8 ha in Loc Binh and Mau Son communes, including departure and arrival stations, cable car routes, resort hotels, event centers, commercial service areas, indoor and outdoor entertainment, food, shopping, culture, spiritual areas, squares, parking lots, internal traffic and ecological landscape forest land.
Phase II has an area of about 570.46 ha in Mau Son commune. The expected items include commercial service, entertainment, culinary, shopping, accommodation, resort hotels, sports, culture, spiritual, semi-wild animal rescue area, medical and rescue center, parking lot, internal traffic and other items according to the plan.
The total investment capital after adjustment is 7,352 billion VND. Of which, phase I is allocated 4,898 billion VND, phase II is 2,454 billion VND.

Regarding progress, phase I is implemented from the second quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2031. In 2026, the project must complete site clearance.
From the second quarter of 2026 to the end of the second quarter of 2028, the investor will complete legal procedures, construct the departure station, arrival station, cable car route and some items according to the approved detailed plan.
The remaining items of phase I such as resort hotels, event centers, commercial service areas, entertainment areas, food - shopping areas, squares, parking lots and internal traffic are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2031.
Phase II is implemented from the second quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2032, including site clearance, preparation for construction investment, deployment of items according to planning and put into operation.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Finance to state management of investment for the project, and at the same time requests investors to deposit or provide bank guarantees to ensure implementation obligations. The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Construction coordinate to guide investors to complete procedures on land, forestry, environment, minerals, construction, planning and transport infrastructure.
The People's Committees of Mau Son and Loc Binh communes are responsible for carrying out site clearance and resettlement work, coordinating to develop compensation and support plans when the State recovers land; and at the same time strengthen land management in the project area and surrounding areas.
Investors are required to contribute sufficient equity, mobilize capital on schedule, complete investment procedures, construction, planning, environment, and land before deployment.
Mau Son is a famous tourist area of Lang Son, located at an altitude of over 1,000 m above sea level, with a cool climate, mountain scenery and unique indigenous culture.
The adjustment of the cable car project is expected to create more motivation for tourism and service development in the northeastern area of the province.
