According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in the coming days there will continue to be intermittent sunshine, with scattered thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

Weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) with its axis through the Northern region is gradually weakening. Southwest monsoon maintains intensity from moderate to strong.

Above, the southern branch of the subtropical high pressure through the South China Sea area weakens and lowers its axis southward. Upper-level wind convergence works better.

Weather forecast for the next 3-10 days, ITCZ has its axis through the Northern region, raising the slow axis to the North and continuing to weaken gradually. Southwest monsoon maintains intensity from moderate to strong.

Above, the southern branch of the subtropical high pressure continues to weaken and lower its axis southward. From around August 13-14, this system tends to encroach westward again. Upper-level wind convergence is operating well in the Southern region.

Therefore, in the coming days, the weather in the South will mainly be intermittent sunny during the day. Scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

In particular, Lam Dong and the northern Dong Nai area are likely to experience localized heavy rain, with a probability of heavy rain over 50%.

During thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. These dangerous weather phenomena can affect outdoor activities, traffic and daily life, especially during rush hour.
