On July 10, Thuan An Ward People's Committee (HCMC) and units organized a working session with people whose crops were affected when building the Ring Road 3 HCMC section through the former Binh Duong province.
At the working session, the organizers informed about support policies for people with affected crops when implementing the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to records, about 70 households have crops affected when implementing the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, 44 households have been clearly verified for the number of damaged crops. Other households are continuing to be reviewed and verified.

Through review, crops that died during the project such as: bon bon trees, durian trees, coconut trees, banana trees, mangosteen trees, mulberry trees, jackfruit trees. The reason is that when the project is implemented, it affects the water source for plant growth, causing plants to lack water or be salinized and die.
At the working session, the units informed about the compensation plan and the application of the compensation unit price. At the same time, listened to opinions and agreed with the people on compensation.
According to records, Thuan An ward is a locality that still retains a large area of fruit orchards. Among them, mangosteen is a famous fruit in this land. Regarding the compensation price, it is calculated based on the value of each type of tree and the number of years of planting. Among them, mangosteen is the tree with the highest compensation price, and it is expected that mature trees from 10 years old and older will be compensated from 11.4 million VND. Some households with 11 dead mangosteen trees are expected to be compensated about 125 million VND.
In addition, durian trees are expected to be compensated 5.7 million VND/tree (depending on the time and value of the tree), and mulberry trees are about 3.5 million VND/tree (depending on the time and value of the tree).

Leaders of Thuan An Ward People's Committee said that at the working session, the majority of households agreed with the draft compensation plan and the price applied for compensation. After today's meeting, compensation will be paid to 44 households by the end of July 2026. In the coming time, the locality will continue to coordinate in statistics, supplementing affected cases and completing compensation in September 2026.



It is known that the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City passing through Binh Duong area was previously about 26.6 km long. Currently, there are 4 construction packages under construction with a total length of 11.6 km, the remaining 15km section coincides with My Phuoc - Tan Van road.
In which, the progress of construction package No. 3 - the section from Binh Chuan intersection to the long Saigon River (through Thuan An ward) nearly 9 km long is being accelerated. This section, phase 1, builds a scale of 4 expressway lanes and parallel roads on both sides, the construction progress reaches about 70% of the volume.
