Recently, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen chaired a meeting with the City Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Construction Investment Project Management Board using capital to support the city's development on the progress of key projects.
After listening to reports from the two units, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City Truong Canh Tuyen requested the City Construction Investment Project Management Board to proactively and closely coordinate with relevant localities to urgently complete legal procedures related to compensation, support, resettlement, and handover of clean land before June 30.
In particular, for the National Highway 91 Upgrade and Expansion Project (section from Km0-Km7), ensuring the site is qualified to start the project, expected on August 19, to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
In addition, closely follow the plan, progress, and time approved by competent authorities, focus resources to speed up project implementation, and ensure the quality of the project. In case of difficulties and problems, promptly report and advise competent authorities to consider and resolve them according to regulations.
Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen requested the Department of Construction to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of Ninh Kieu and Binh Thuy districts and related units to urgently review and complete legal procedures for settlement of the National Highway 91 Expansion Project from the bus station intersection to Tra Noc (Km0 - Km7). Report the implementation results to the City People's Committee in May 2025.
The People's Committees of districts and towns with investment projects in the area are responsible for closely coordinating with investors, the City Land Fund Development Center and related units to urgently complete compensation, support and resettlement for projects in the area in June 2025.
For the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project (phase 1), component project 2, section through Can Tho, the investor is responsible for closely coordinating with contractors and relevant localities to urgently complete legal procedures related to construction materials (exploitation of sand, stone for filling materials, proactive search for filling materials, ...).
At the same time, study appropriate construction solutions to speed up the progress to ensure the completion of the project before July 2026 according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
