During the New Year holiday of 2026 (from January 1 to January 4), Quang Tri's tourism industry recorded many positive signs, with increased number of visitors, and exciting sightseeing, entertainment and recreation activities, ensuring safety and order.

Many activities to welcome the new year 2026 are organized on a suitable scale, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate. Some prominent events such as the New Year welcoming program in Phong Nha, Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area (Dong Hoi ward), Nam Dong Ha ward with low-altitude fireworks displays, art performances; welcoming the first tourist group to Quang Tri by air; welcoming the first visitors to visit Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Site.
Statistics show that the total number of tourists to Quang Tri during the holidays is estimated at about 120,000, of which international visitors are about 4,500, mainly from the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France, South Korea, China...
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 138 billion VND. The average room occupancy rate reaches about 45%, especially the Phong Nha - Ke Bang and Khe Sanh areas reach about 70%. Tourist attractions such as Phong Nha - Ke Bang, Khe Sanh, Vinh Moc Tunnels, Ta Con airport, Quang Tri Citadel and the Provincial Museum attract a large number of tourists.
On this occasion, Dong Hoi Airport served 30 flights with about 4,500 passengers. Dong Hoi Station and Dong Ha Station welcomed 40 trains, with more than 4,700 passengers getting on and off the train. In general, New Year's tourism activities in the province in 2026 took place safely, without any unfortunate incidents.
