This year, Mr. Tran Hoang (Hoang Mai ward, Hanoi) spent almost most of the time during the Binh Ngo Tet holiday to travel to the highlands of Tuyen Quang with a group of friends. The specific itinerary has been prepared for many months before.
I am not married, so the preparation for Tet is also very simple, on the 1st day, I visit relatives and family with my family. Starting from the 2nd day, we set off for a trip.
My group of friends and I decided to go to the Dong Van Karst Plateau to see the Tet customs of local people and enjoy the natural scenery," Mr. Hoang shared.
On the winding mountain pass road of the highlands of Tuyen Quang, it is not difficult to encounter groups of young people riding motorbikes during the Lunar New Year holidays. Highland tourism during Tet, also known as "phượt" in the highlands, has become an interesting choice for many people.

According to travel companies, few localities have outstanding "phượt" tourism products like Tuyen Quang. Only traveling hundreds of kilometers on the Dong Van Karst Plateau, tourists can enjoy many emotions and learn more new things. Each check-in corner is a unique and interesting corner.
To have a complete trip during the Tet holiday, detailed preparation early is an important factor. In which planning for rest stops and contacting, booking early or means of transportation to travel during the highlands also needs to be carefully prepared.
Ms. Thu Hang (Bac Ninh province) said that her group of 10 people contacted to book homestay rooms in the highland communes of Tuyen Quang more than 1 month before Tet. Motorbike rental bookings were also carried out early to avoid being passive.
We chose to go backpacking in the highlands right during Tet to fully enjoy the spring atmosphere of the mountains and forests, and also to avoid overcrowding at tourist destinations. Therefore, the plan was detailed early, we are very excited for this trip," Ms. Hang shared.
Where there is supply, there is demand, during the Tet holiday, many families in the highlands of Tuyen Quang are filled with laughter when welcoming delegations from afar. Welcoming guests during Tet days is both a source of income and an opportunity to introduce traditional customs of local people.
Mr. Sung Mi Phin (Sa Phin commune, Tuyen Quang) said that for the Mong people, Tet is very important, all work focuses on being introverted towards family, clan, and village. However, in recent years, welcoming tourists has opened up many changes.

Welcoming guests is also a way to help people promote the Tet culture of the Mong people, at my family, tourists learn and experience the traditional Tet of the Mong people such as how to make banh day, pasting red paper on objects, cultural and sports activities," Mr. Phin shared.
Dong Van Karst Plateau in the days before, during and after Tet brings the biting cold of the border region but still attracts many young people with a journey to experience, enjoy the majestic natural scenery and immerse themselves in the traditional culture of the indigenous people.
