On March 6, Truong Sa Border Guard Station (Khanh Hoa Border Guard) coordinated with forces stationed on Truong Sa Island to organize propaganda for fishermen fishing in the Truong Sa special zone about the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
At the propaganda session, officers and soldiers of Truong Sa Border Guard Station informed fishermen of the basic contents of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; the meaning and importance of the election; the rights and obligations of citizens when participating in the election.
The Border Guard force also specifically guides the process and procedures for elections so that fishermen can clearly understand and implement the regulations correctly.
At the same time, officers and soldiers directly meet and exchange information with ship owners, captains and fishermen who are anchored and fishing in the Truong Sa sea area, mobilizing people to actively participate in elections and promote the right to mastery of citizens.
According to the plan, the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in Truong Sa Special Zone will be held early on March 8.
Organizing early elections is to ensure conditions for officials, soldiers, people and fishermen working at sea to fully exercise their rights and civic obligations.
Propaganda activities not only help fishermen raise awareness and understand the meaning of the election but also contribute to ensuring that all citizens living and working in the Truong Sa archipelago area participate in the election in accordance with the law, contributing to the success of the great festival of the whole people.
