Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction) is the investor of Component Project 2 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and said: The entire section of the route, over 18 km long, has achieved more than 70% of the contract value.
The volume of K95 soil filling reached 84%, K98 filling reached 69%, crushed stone aggregate reached over 54%, cement reinforcement reached nearly 43%, and the asphalt concrete layer was deployed at about 20%. Along with that, the bridge system on the route also recorded positive changes with 96% of bored piles completed and 97% of pillar abutments completed; all 708 girder piles were cast.
Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Director in charge of Project Management Board 85 - said: To achieve the goal of opening the project's technical traffic before December 19, 2025 at the request of the Prime Minister, in the past, the investor has requested contractors to increase the maximum human resources and equipment to work overtime, "working day and night".
Mr. Nguyen Linh - Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 1 project) - also said: The contractor has used tarpaulin to construct on rainy days but the efficiency is not high. Currently, the investor units have requested the units to focus on sufficient material resources so that when the weather conditions are favorable, they must speed up construction to compensate for progress.
Regarding the Long Thanh Airport Project, Mr. Nguyen Tien Viet - Deputy General Director in charge of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) - said: The progress of the packages is currently basically meeting the progress. In particular, the construction of technical lines (underground works built underground to contain cables and technical pipelines) is a complex construction item that has now completed about 19.7 km out of a total of about 21.7 km of the entire project. Along with that, the construction progress of installing equipment at the passenger terminal is also being implemented synchronously.
Speaking at the construction site of projects when inspecting them, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh requested investors and contractors to focus to ensure the progress of projects; contractors must absolutely keep their commitment to complete projects on schedule; Accumulate enough raw materials and construction materials, especially construction stone for the construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project.
For the Long Thanh Airport project, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh requested ACV to focus on completing the approach road from T1 route to the passenger terminal area as well as the two runways and landing routes of Long Thanh Airport, ensuring aesthetics.
The second runway must also be basically completed before December 19, 2025.
According to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), package 4.12 - construction of the second runway at the Long Thanh airport project is being mobilized by the contractor consortium with more than 283 engineers and workers with 127 motorbikes and equipment for construction.
Package 4.12 started on May 30, 2025 by the ACC - Truong Son - Vinaconex - Vinadic - ACJC647 - Khanh Thien - VTG consortium.
