A series of houses located in the middle of the inter-regional road
In October 2023, the project to build an inter-regional traffic route connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province - passing through many communes of Cam Khe district, still has dozens of locations stuck in site clearance.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper at that time, the key project with straight roads, although many sections had been paved with asphalt and gravel, there were still houses, constructions and people's land that had not been cleared.
After the press reported, the project investor, Cam Khe district authorities and the construction unit increased coordination, promoted propaganda work, and resolved problems with each household.
Starting with the case of Mr. Do Hai Ly - the owner of a house located in the middle of the road in area 16 Van Thang, Dong Luong commune, who agreed to receive compensation and site clearance, many households "nodded" to clear the project and hand over the land to the state.
By the end of December 2023, Cam Khe district officially completed the site clearance of more than 2,300 households subject to land acquisition, and relocated 84 graves in the planning of the main inter-regional road.
Set up a series of checkpoints on inter-regional roads
In February 2024, although many sections of the inter-regional road were paved, it had not been put into use yet, so vehicles could not circulate.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper at that time, many people ignored the danger to travel on the road, potentially causing traffic accidents. In particular, this is a road with many intersections with national highways, provincial roads, district roads... especially the section through Cam Khe district, with about 120 intersections on nearly 30 km of road.
To ensure safety, the construction unit has set up a series of hard checkpoints to prevent traffic, and assigned people to guard the checkpoints at some "hot spots", resolutely not allowing people to break the fences to participate in traffic on roads that have not been handed over.
Along with that, the entire route was reviewed and additional measures were added to ensure traffic safety such as: arranging traffic lights, signs, painted road markings, speed bumps...
Putting inter-regional roads into use
By April 2024, of the total length of 53 km of the main inter-regional road, about 24 km of road had been handed over and put into use, with more than 13 km in Ha Hoa district and nearly 11 km in Cam Khe district.
On November 22, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province issued Document No. 3769/SGTVT-QLGT, announcing that more than 26 km of the main inter-regional road through Cam Khe and Ha Hoa districts has been completed and put into use.
Thus, after many months of waiting, people can now travel on the entire main inter-regional route. The section from Km0 - Km2+452 (the beginning of the route) through Lam Son commune, Tam Nong district has not been completed because it is an additional section, constructed later (end of 2023).
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on the morning of November 25, Mr. Do The Nam - Director of the Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Traffic, Civil and Industrial Works of Phu Tho Province (under the Department of Transport, the unit assigned to manage the project) - said that with the first section of the inter-regional road from Km0 - Km2+452, up to now, 1.9/2.452 km in length are under construction.
"The volume of implementation has reached about 60%. The remaining sections have not been constructed due to problems with some households waiting to be resettled. Currently, the resettlement area in Lam Son commune is being urgently implemented" - Mr. Nam shared.
The Inter-regional Road Project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province has a total adjusted investment of VND 2,120 billion, and was started by the Investor, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province, on December 1, 2021.
