From the morning of August 26 to now, hundreds of flooded areas in Hanoi have been flooded after heavy rain from the night of August 25. The highest rainfall measured in Hai Ba Trung district was 315.4 mm and the lowest in Dong Anh district was 106.4 mm.
In the face of complicated flooding, the Command Committee of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police has directed teams and stations to mobilize forces to be present early on key streets, coordinate with ward police and functional units to organize traffic flow, guide vehicles to move along appropriate routes, and at the same time warn and block at dangerous high water points.
According to the reporter, the Road Traffic Police Teams have increased their forces, organized traffic flow at intersections, prevented congestion, and instructed vehicles to avoid deeply flooded areas.



At the Tran Phu - Chu Van An intersection, a large tree broke and fell across the road, crushing two cars. Immediately afterwards, the traffic police force was present in time to direct traffic, coordinate with functional forces to cut, relocate, and fix the incident.
On Huynh Thuc Khang, Vo Chi Cong streets... many sections were flooded, the traffic police working group set up barriers, and directed vehicles to avoid them.
Currently, the traffic police continue to be on duty at key flooded areas.



According to the forecast, in the next 12 to 24 hours, Hanoi will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, it is necessary to be on guard against the risk of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Rainfall in the northern area of the city is generally 50 - 100mm, in some places over 150mm. The western, southern and central areas of the city are generally 40 - 70mm, some places over 100mm.
The Hanoi Traffic Police Department recommends that people proactively monitor weather information, limit travel to deeply flooded areas and follow the instructions of the authorities to ensure traffic safety.
