Nguyen Canh Di extended road (Dinh Cong ward, Hanoi) is being "put on a new coat" after a long period of degradation, causing no small impact on people's travel and daily life.
Previously, on November 25, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Construction issued document No. 1358/TB-SXD on traffic diversion and organization to serve the construction of 600m of Nguyen Canh Di road extending from Song Lu bridge to Dinh Cong bridge, time from November 25, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
This is a road belonging to the technical infrastructure project of Bac Dai Kim new urban area expansion, invested by Hanoi Housing and Urban Development Business Joint Stock Company.

Nguyen Canh Di extended road is about 600m long, an important traffic route connecting Dinh Cong ward residential area with major roads in the area such as Ring Road 2.5, Giai Phong...
For a long time before that, Nguyen Canh Di street surface appeared many potholes and craters, making traffic for vehicles difficult. Especially on rainy days, water stagnation and slipperiness pose a risk of traffic unsafety.
Lao Dong's records in the last days of February show that up to now, half of the road surface has been asphalted newly, the surface is flat, creating favorable conditions for people to move.
The remaining road surface is being urgently deployed by the construction unit, expected to be completed in the near future.

The renovation and upgrading of 600m of Nguyen Canh Di extended road has received the consensus and support of people living in the area.
Many people said that the prolonged damage in the past not only made travel difficult but also affected the living environment, causing dust in the dry season and mud in the rainy season.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (resident in Dinh Cong ward) said that previously, this road section was seriously degraded, and traveling was very difficult. Many traffic accidents have occurred here.
Now seeing that the road is being paved with asphalt concrete, we are very excited. Hopefully, when completed, travel will be more convenient and safer" - Ms. Hanh said.

Mr. Tran Van Minh (35 years old, a resident living in Dinh Cong ward) is also excited that the road section is about to be completed.
The road being repaired is like putting on a new coat. We people have been waiting for this for a long time" - Mr. Minh said.
Upgrading the extended Nguyen Canh Di street not only contributes to improving traffic conditions, reducing the risk of congestion, but also creates motivation to promote socio-economic development in the locality, gradually completing urban infrastructure in the Southern Hanoi area in particular and the Capital in general.
