Grasping the increasing travel demand, the Railway industry has increased many train trips on key routes. At the same time, the unit launched the tourist train "Hue Citadel - Phong Nha: Journey of World Heritage", contributing to meeting the sightseeing and tourism needs of people during the holidays.
According to statistics, the total number of passengers served by the Railway industry during the peak period from August 28 to September 2 reached 219,264, equal to 114% compared to the same period in 2025.
To meet travel needs, the railway industry has proactively developed a plan to strengthen transport capacity early. In addition to regular daily train pairs, the railway industry organizes 4 more Thong Nhat passenger trains and 33 regional passenger trains.
Most trains are connected to the maximum number of carriages and exploited to the full allowed length to increase the number of seats and serve passengers.
Along with increasing transport capacity, the Railway industry directs units to increase personnel, be on duty 24/7, strictly control the work of ensuring train safety, preventing incidents and railway traffic accidents, and ensuring safety for people during the holidays.
After the National Day holiday, the Railway industry continues to enter the peak season of Tet Nguyen Dan Dinh Mui 2027 train ticket sales.
Phase 1 of ticket sales to organizations and collectives has been completed. From 8 am on September 5, the Railway industry started phase 2 ticket sales for individual passengers on all official ticket sales channels.
In order to limit speculation, ensure fair rights and opportunities to buy tickets, the Railway industry applies regulations limiting the number of tickets in each transaction.
Accordingly, each customer when booking, buying tickets online or directly is not allowed to buy more than 10 tickets for one direction in one transaction.
The organization of ticket sales in stages is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of passenger service during the 2027 Dinh Mui Tet holiday, meeting the increasing travel demand on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, and at the same time limiting overload and ticket speculation.
