Mr. Ha Trong Thang, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, said that closely following the theme of activities in 2026, which is "Promoting innovation and creativity; concretizing and bringing the Resolution of the Party Congress and Trade Union into life", in the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels have focused on implementing and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the XVII Congress of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, Resolutions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Railways Corporation, and organizing activities towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Along with that, the Vietnam Railways Trade Union continues to innovate the organization and methods of trade union activities with the motto "towards the grassroots level, for the grassroots level and for workers (NLĐ)"; deploying many effective activities, in which the focus is on coordination with professional departments to care for material and spiritual life, pay attention to improving working and living conditions for union members and workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances during Tet Nguyen Dan, Workers' Month, Labor Safety and Hygiene Month... deploying the Peak Month of Trade Union Membership.
The role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of employees is focused on implementation, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive relationships.
In addition, trade union levels actively respond, maintain, and deploy emulation movements suitable to the actual situation, associated with the political tasks of each unit and enterprise, typically such as the movements: "Good Labor - Creative Labor", "Regular - Culture - Safety", "Railway - Flower Road"...
Towards the celebration of important events in 2026 such as the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union, the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Railway Industry, the 145th anniversary of Vietnam Railways, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam Railways Trade Union has coordinated professionally, Youth Union to organize propaganda, deploy many activities, emulation movements: "80 new projects, products, services", "80 km of Railway - Flower Roads".
As a result, the units registered and implemented 62 projects with a total project value of over 540 billion VND with the participation of 2,163 turns of union members and workers; there were 110 initiatives, with a profit value of 1.32 billion VND.
Immediately after the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the Vietnam Railways Trade Union organized the Launching Ceremony of the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" for the period 2026 - 2031 according to the Plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
