From noon 27.10, the impact of Tra Mi storm, heavy rain caused serious damage to the railway section of Sa Lung (Quang Tri Province) - Dong Hoi (Quang Binh Province). Floodwater eroded hundreds of meters of stone foundation, sleepers, rails ... leading to this section paralyzed.

According to the Division of Railway Safety Management II, the flood caused major damage to the railway signaling equipment system, such as signal information in Thuong Lam - My Trach - Sa Lung (Quang Tri), signal information Dong Hoi - Le Ky (Quang Binh).
In order to ensure the journey of passengers, the railway management and operation unit has transshipped people by car between Dong Ha and Dong Hoi stations.
The Vietnam Railways Corporation has ordered the transportation of passengers of SE6, SE7, SE5, SE3, SE19 trains through the rainy area by car from Dong Hoi station to Dong Ha station and vice versa.
