On the afternoon of October 27, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City quickly reported on the response and damage caused by storm Tra Mi.
Storm Tra Mi caused 3 incidents in the 110kV power grid, 177 transformer stations have not been restored; some areas still have power outages. Da Nang City Electricity is making efforts to handle the incident and restore power to the remaining areas.
The entire city had 51 flooded houses, mainly concentrated in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district. By 5 p.m. on October 27, the water had receded. The city had 53 houses with partially blown-off roofs (4 houses in Cam Le district and 49 houses in Hoa Vang district); 9 houses had their roofs completely blown off. One boat sank; the area of damaged crops was 2 hectares.

The whole city had 909 fallen trees (Hai Chau district 28 trees; Thanh Khe 18 trees; Son Tra 34 trees; Ngu Hanh Son 84 trees; Lien Chieu 134 trees; Cam Le 172 trees; Hoa Vang district 439 trees).
On Nhu Nguyet Street (near Thuan Phuoc Bridge, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City), the Han River rose high, causing localized flooding. Big waves damaged and dislodged sidewalk tiles in many locations, knocked down decorative lamp posts, and spilled soil and sand onto the sidewalk and roadway.
The city's Department of Transport has directed the road management contractor to deploy warnings, ensure traffic, clean up and inspect, and repair damage after the storm.
Storm Tra Mi caused damage to several medical centers: Da Nang City Emergency Center had its lobby roof broken and blown off; Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Center had its plaster ceiling fall off; Cam Le District Medical Center had its corrugated iron roof blown off...
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City requested the Border Guard Command to continue to deploy and coordinate with the Police, relevant units and localities to ensure safety and fire prevention for vehicles anchored and sheltering from storms, in which special attention should be paid to vehicles anchored at Nguyen Tat Thanh beach, Man Quang bay and Han river.
